Hello! I am Anurag Garg, currently pursuing my Master's in Artificial Intelligence at the University of Freiburg. I am also working as a Research Assistant in Prof. Frank Hutter's Machine Learning Lab. Before starting my master's degree, I worked at Deloitte as an Analyst. My primary interests are in Generative AI and Foundation Models.

For my master's thesis I fine‑tuned TabPFN, a transformer‑based foundation model for tabular data. The resulting model, Real‑TabPFN, achieves new state‑of‑the‑art performance, is now the default in the TabPFN API, and was accepted to the ICML 2025 Workshop on Foundation Models for Structured Data (FMSD).

During my tenure at Deloitte, I focused on data analysis and model building.

In my free time I enjoy exploring new developments in AI/ML, surfing Academic Twitter, cooking and going on hikes in the beautiful Black Forest.
